“It’s not against the law to be hungry”

- Former board president Gordon Lebowich

The definition of humanitarian is "a person who seeks to promote human welfare". Gordon's mission was to ensure food, shelter and basic needs were available to all who needed them. He genuinely cared for all those that came through the doors of the Soup Kitchen. Gordon would always take time out of his day to sit down and have a conversation with someone, listen to them, and help in any way he could. He would do anything in his power to help someone; From giving them the shirt off his back, the shoes off his feet, or reaching out to any of his numerous friends; He was always willing to help. Gordon Lebowich defined the word 'Humanitarian'.
